Display Stand Design and Manufacture

The Display

The display was intended from the outset to have very little post CAD/CAM finishing required as the laser cutter provides a nice edge to any cut acrylic.
The only hand finishing I wanted was assembly due to the absence of sophisticated assembly robots.

The first stage was to create all the drawings, this was an essential stage to ensure 100% accuracy during the CAM stage.

Below shows the development of the display stand and explains the how's and the why's.

With the designing complete the parts can now be cut form coloured sheet acrylic, this will give a high quality finish without and post CAM finishing and by using an appropriate coloured sheet acrylic will also give the desired look to the display with a high quality look.

The CAD/CAM section of this part of the project went very well and I am extremely happy with the result, the only imperfections were caused during hand assembly but still these are only very minor imperfections of runaway adhesive.
Below shows the completed display in operation ready to draw in the customers at any technology show or exhibition and due to its novelty and slightly cheesy form I feel will accomplish this well.
